The Bellagio Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada - a travel review by Rachael Gerkensmeyer
The Bellagio Casino and Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada
The Beautiful Bellagio Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada
The first thing we encountered when we entered the Bellagio Hotel was the botanical garden which is right on the outskirts of the lobby. The hotel is as grand on the inside as it is on the outside. Of course there are plenty of slot machines lingering not only on the casino floor but in the walkways too.

The place is huge and you have to find signs to direct to places you want to go. This particular day we visited was to have dinner at the buffet and then catch the fountain show outside of the hotel.

The buffet restaurant is very colorful but elegant. The theme is yellow and red with white table cloths. The buffet was over sixteen dollars a person, but they offered food from all over. Chinese, Italian, Japanese, American and other traditional foods from around the world were readily available and excellent.

This hotel is definitely one of the upper class hotels of Las Vegas. People under the age of 18 are not permitted in the hotel unless they are a guest which is something that’s not practiced in most hotels on the Las Vegas strip.

After dinner, we headed out to see the fountain show named ‘Fountains of Bellagio’. The show is scheduled to run every 15 minutes so it was convenient not to have to stick to an exact time schedule. The fountains are unbelievably beautiful especially when the sun is down. We have driven by the show on numerous occasions during the day and thought it looked fun to see, but we didn’t expect the show to be so much prettier at night.

The Bellagio is a great place to visit but if you want to visit Vegas without paying $400 a night, you’re best off just visiting the Bellagio and staying in another hotel with less expensive rates.
