You really need to put north central Idaho on your agenda when you travel the USA. A great place to begin your visit is at the Lewis and Clark Center for Arts and History. Located in Lewiston, Idaho it offers a wide variety of bronze sculptures and paintings done by local artists, a real must see as you travel the USA. With so inspiration around the offerings are both insightful and meaningful. A real feast for the eyes, see it when you travel the USA.
One of the most fascinating places I have ever visited, as I travel the USA, was Hell's Canyon, it is the deepest river gorge in North America, it offers around 70 miles of rugged river country. When you travel the USA you won't see river gorges like this one.
We took the jet boat to tour this area, and that in itself was an experience, or so I thought until we reached the caves. Nez Perce Indian petroglyph and pictograph are found on the walls of the cave and along the rock walls through the canyon. I cannot tell you what an experience this was for me, when I travel the USA. You too will be amazed and awed by this sight.
Another place to see, is one of the natural hot springs. These are pools that are naturally fed by mineral springs, and as I called them "Mother Nature's Hot Tubs", was a real treat to soak my weary bones in.
Back in the 1930's and 1940's these hot springs were a favorite spot to Hollywood stars, a place for them to go, relax and be pampered. Today everyone is welcome to come visit and relax. Just be careful, as some of the hot springs water temperatures can reach 104 degrees, not too bad once you get adjusted to it. This is a really relaxing place, to melt all the stress and tension of the day away, surrounded by beautiful scenary of North Central Idaho.
